Explanation
How Lottery Number Generator works
The lottery number generator draws main numbers and additional numbers locally in the browser. The existing presets cover Lotto 6 aus 49, Eurojackpot and a custom draw. No other lotteries or game modes are represented.
Within the same group there are no duplicates (drawing without replacement). Main numbers and additional numbers are drawn separately — a main number can therefore also appear as an additional number, since the pools are independent.
In custom mode you can only set the count and ranges of the two existing number groups. This does not represent the participation conditions of any other lottery.
Common mistakes
- Believing that certain numbers are "due": Every draw is independent of previous ones. The probability of each number stays constant (gambler's fallacy).
- Looking for patterns in past draws: Statistical analyses of past lottery results have no predictive value for future draws.
- Treating the generator as a strategy: The random selection does not change the winning probability of a valid combination.
- Adopting the model digit as your own Superzahl: On the official ticket, the Superzahl is derived from the last digit of the ticket number.
Limits of this tool
- No improvement of the winning probability — all combinations are equally likely.
- Purely random, no consideration of statistics of past draws.
- No official ticket — the numbers must be transferred manually to a lottery ticket.
- No prize calculation or odds determination.
- Math.random is not an official draw source and is not cryptographically specified.
